
About Jane Fisher
Jane Fisher, Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)®, is the co-owner of Oasis Senior Advisors of South Central and Southeastern CT, a company that provides personalized services for older adults and their families who are seeking independent living, assisted living, memory care, and other services & resources.
In 2021, Jane completed a certificate in Guided Autobiography from The Birren Center for Autobiographical Studies and established Life Story Catchers, LLC. She leads Guided Autobiography workshop series, obituary writing workshops, and delivers a variety of presentations and workshops that focus on the joy that comes from recalling, preserving, and sharing our life stories.
Jane graduated Summa Cum Laude from Quinnipiac College with a bachelor’s degree in health services administration. She was the Editor-in-Chief of the campus newspaper, and in 1996 she received the Willis O. Underwood Alumnus Award for Distinguished Leadership from the college.
Following a distinguished career as a retirement community administrator and a licensed nursing home administrator, Jane earned a master’s degree in library & information studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a master’s degree in public administration from CUNY-Baruch College. She has extensive experience working in libraries, including various positions at The New York Public Library. She served as the Director of the Wallingford Public Library from 2013-2023 and is a member of the Personal Historians Northeast Network
